As our mission statement explains, one of our goals is "to promote our community's appreciation of Branford's diverse natural features.

The Land Trust News was honored with a Communication Award presented at the 2004 Land Trust Convocation sponsored by the Land Trust Service Bureau, an arm of the Connecticut Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. “Given for outstanding communications through its newsletter and internet web site. High quality graphic design provides Land Trust members, town offices, businesses and the library with up-to-date information on current protection projects, public access preserves, town natural resources, local land use issues, and a calendar of events. The newsletters, mailed to over 750 recipients, and web site, with several hundred “visits” a month, do an excellent job keeping the Branford Land Trust in the public eye.”
