In 1996, the Branford Land Trust joined forces with the Guilford Land Conservation Trust to preserve the Pinchot Property [seen above]. This 47 acre tract represents the southernmost part of over 600 acres of protected open space in Branford and Guilford that stretches from Leetes Island Road to I-95.

This type of preservation effort is just one of the many activities of the Branford Land Trust that assures the protection of open space in Branford. From investigating available open space for acquisition to maintaining our properties, the Land Trust continually works at protecting our natural resources for future generations of Branford residents.
